Larger than Life
1.)Students should begin thinking about the Larger than Life Project.
This assignment should be an opportunity to combine different techniques to complete a large sculpture that tells the viewer a little about their interests.
--The subject should be simple, but not lacking in detail.
--It should be something that reflects you as an artist or person.
--It should be able to be made 5 to 10 times its original size (we can make exceptions)
--It needs to be constructed out of clay.
2.)We must first sketch our ideas.
--Please have two sketches completed in great detail that show 2 different views.
--You may use artistic license, which gives you the power to add or subtract different elements of the subject.
--Please label a 3rd sketch and explain the techniques that you plan to use and be prepared to explain why.
3.)Please bring in the item that we are interested in creating.
